Writing I love teaching Kindergarteners how to write! It is such a fun and amazing process to be a part of. One thing that you will hear from me and your student this year is the term "kindergarten writing". Kindergarten writing, or phonetic spelling, is when a student writes down all the sounds that he or she hears. I will encourage your students to use their best Kindergarten writing all year and this will help them to continue to learn and grow as a writer! You will notice that Kindergarten writing is often different from "dictionary writing" and there is a time and a place for both in our classroom! |
